Burcin U. Fraser, MD/MPH/FAAAAI is a Board Certified Allergist and expert in the field. She has over a decade of clinical and research experience in allergy and immunotherapy. Her multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals are listed below. She has lectured on allergic diseases locally, nationally and internationally throughout her career and continues to provide educational lectures for physicians and patients.
Dr. Fraser practiced Allergy and Immunology at Children’s National in Washington, D.C. for nearly six years. She has experience in difficult cases and nationally recognized clinical research in food allergy and oral immunotherapy.
Using her knowledge of complex disease, she transitioned to practice care for the wider community in 2019.
Whole Family Allergy and Immunotherapy was created to better meet the needs of the Chevy Chase, M.D. and Greater Washington, D.C. area. She brings you and your family a breadth of unique experience and quality care in a compassionate setting.

Dr. Fraser lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and three young children. When she’s not picking up after the kids, she practices meditation and yoga. She supports the Kennedy Center, the National Zoo and several national museums to enjoy the performing arts and experiences D.C. has to offer.

Samantha Nguyen, DO
We are very excited to welcome Dr. Sam Nguyen to the practice as our new doctor! She graduated from VCOM–Blacksburg in 2020, completed her Internal Medicine residency at Wake Forest, and recently finished her Allergy and Immunology fellowship at the University of Virginia. Her clinical interests include pediatric food allergies, eosinophilic esophagitis, allergic rhinitis, and asthma. She has experience with oral food challenges and multi-food oral immunotherapy, and is excited to care for families managing food allergies.
Originally from the DC area, she is happy to be back home. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, and discovering new coffee and brunch spots with friends and family.
Christina Odelstierna, RN, BSN
Our origin story includes the hard work and dedication of Christina, who was the practice’s lead nurse and clinic manager until 2024. She and Dr. Fraser worked together for several years prior to opening Whole Family Allergy and Immunotherapy. Although Christina is no longer with the practice we will always remember her significant contributions to the foundation of this company and hope that one day she will come back!
Jessica Florez, Medical Assistant
Jessica Florez is the backbone of WFAI. She makes the magic happen. She not only has her pulse on all the patient care that is happening in the office at once, but she also keeps the office running. Jessica is a dedicated and compassionate medical assistant with over a decade of experience in providing high-quality patient care and clinical support. She has developed a strong skill set in both administrative and hands-on patient services, ensuring smooth daily operations in fast-paced healthcare environments. Since November 2022, she has been a valued member of the practice known for her professionalism, attention to detail, and patient-first approach.
When not with her husband and four children, Jessica enjoys relaxing at the spa and treating herself to quiet, peaceful meals, embracing moments of calm to recharge and reflect.
Mollie Hartz, MSN, CPNP-PC
Mollie Hartz, MSN, CPNP-PC is our amazing Nurse Practitioner. Mollie graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master of Science in Nursing in 2022 and an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2017.
Mollie has five years of pediatric nursing experience at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and, most recently, Children’s National Hospital. During her time as a registered nurse, she cared for patients in critical and acute care settings, including an intensive care unit, and a surgical, burn, trauma unit.
Since Mollie joined our team in April, 2023 she has blown me away with her care of our food allergy patients. She is truly made to do this work and further our mission of preventing foods allergies.
Mollie lives in Maryland with her husband. They are taking much deserved time with their first baby. They also have a rescue dog Chip. In her free time, Mollie enjoys fly fishing, reading memoirs, and watching live music. We hope to see Mollie back in the New Year!
Lara White, FNP-BC, BSCRN
Lara is a Nurse Practitioner and joined our team part-time in January 2025 and she is now with us full-time!
Lara graduated from George Washington University with a Master of Science in Nursing in 2024 and previously from New York University with an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2019. Prior to joining this practice, she worked as a pediatric nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children's National Hospital for 5 years.
She joined the Whole Family Allergy and Immunotherapy family in January 2025! She is like a swan who is cool and calm and the outside and peddling super fast underneath! She has learned so quickly and I am constantly amazed and impressed with her breadth of knowledge. She has quickly picked up how best to care for our amazing allergy patients both kids and adults!
Lara lives in Virginia with her fiance. She enjoys anything outdoors, yoga, and relaxing with a good murder mystery.
Marie "Peaches" Chambers, Registered Medical Assistant
Peaches is our allergy shot specialist. She has been an experienced allergy medical assistant for so long she can do this with her eyes closed. She has 35 plus years experience within the DC area. No one gives better shots than Peaches and she is training everyone to do it as well! Peaches is an RMA who is passionate and prides herself on helping her family, pateints and others. She sees this as more than a job, it is a career and calling that she loves. She is grateful to be here with the WFAI family and wer are grateful to have her as well.
She is a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and great aunt. When she isn't at work she does her best to entertain her little great nieces!
Dawn Hatcher, RN
Dawn is our practice nurse who helps with our patient experience from the minute patients walk into the office to the phones and portal. She is also our school and camp form specialist. Dawn has many years of allergy experience and we are lucky to have her on the team!

Miracle is the newest member of our team. She is learning quickly and we are glad to have her on our team!
Emily Yanguen, Medical Assistant
Emily just joined our team in January 2025. With six years of experience in the medical field, she is excited to begin a new chapter in the allergy specialty. She has always enjoyed helping people feel better and takes pride in creating a welcoming environment for every patient. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two cats and staying active. She believes a balanced life helps maintain energy and focus in both work and in her personal life.
