Please bring any relevant prior records with you to the appointment including prior allergy skin testing, allergy blood tests. If you are going to have skin testing, please make sure that you are off of all antihistamines (Benadryl, Zyrtec, Claritin, Allegra, Xyzal, Cold medications, Pepcid/famotidine and some other medications) for 7 days prior to the appointment. This will be scheduled as a separate visit which can take 2-4 hours. Please bring epinephrine autoinjectors with you. Bring the food to be challenged, sometimes in different forms in case we need to pivot due to taste preferences. Also bring a change of clothes, extra food and drink, and entertainment. For more details on your specific appointment please call our office or send a non-urgent portal message. Please be aware there is a cancelation fee.

These appointments are 1-2 hours long. Make sure you are HEALTHY. Please call or reschedule if you are sick, exhausted, jet-lagged, dehydrated! Please make sure to take your premeds (steroids, antihistamines, montelukast) an hour prior. Bring your epinephrine auto-injectors with you. Bring food and drink, work, books, or other entertainment. Please make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the appointment. And remember, no exercise on these days.

Please be advised that these appointments are in high demand. Unless approved there will be a cancelation fee for missed appointments or late cancelations within 24 hours. $100 for new patient appointments, $50 for follow ups, $200 for procedures like oral food challenges.
